My fiancee and I purchased a ring from Lauren B Jewelry on 4/28/19. After the ring was made and shipped to us, my fiancee was able to wear it for five days before a side stone fell out. Lauren B Jewelry replaced the missing stone at no cost and sent the ring back. Thirty days later, the center stone in the ring was loose. I contacted Lauren B Jewelry again and was told by Eddie (our sales rep) that he would fix it this time, but it is "totally normal because she wears the ring everyday" and "I am sure you notice how delicate and thin the ring is and this is why the ring needs extra care”. He also stated, "if you do not have insurance yet, I strongly suggest you do it now because if the stone gets lost, Lauren B will not be responsible”. Before we purchased the ring, at no point were we told our ring could not be worn every day without having issues. Had we known these details, we never would have purchased. What engagement ring is not worn every day and any reputable jeweler should be able to produce a ring that can be worn daily. Lauren B Jewelry repaired the loose center and sent the ring back. After just six hours of wearing the ring, we had our THIRD issue – another side stone fell out. We were both very upset and disappointed. Before sending the ring back to Lauren B Jewelry again, we decided to have the ring evaluated by two independent and reputable jewelers. They put our ring under a microscope and began photographing all of the craftsmanship issues they found, such as two cracks in the shank and many instances where prongs were not securing the side stones at all. (You can view evaluation and close-up photos of our ring showing the craftmanship issues, at https://imgur.com/a/Y5OXt9h ) Lauren B Jewelry refused to acknowledge any craftsmanship issues and instead of directly responding to the specific issues pointed out and photographed in our evaluation, they stated they have been in business for over 40 years and our ring passed their quality control. Due to multiple previous failed attempts by Lauren B Jewelry to repair their ring, at this point, we had no other option but to contact our bank and file a dispute. We submitted all the proper documentation to our bank including both evaluations and photographs of the ring showing the multiple craftsmanship issues. The dispute took 3.5 months and throughout the process, Aric Behar (owner's son) would state that my dispute was denied and made multiple attempts to send the unrepaired ring back to us. After verifying with my bank that the dispute was still being investigated (NOT denied). I asked Aric why has he been telling me our dispute was resolved when it is not, and why has he been attempting to send the unrepaired ring back to us, He never responded to my email. Over a month later, they try again, except this time it is with a new Lauren B Jewelry employee – Henri Azizo. Henri let me know he "has been informed that your credit card company has denied your chargeback" and he will offer a refund with a 20% restocking fee and a non-disclosure agreement. I called my bank and again, just like last time, I was told our dispute was still open and being investigated - it was NOT denied. I ignored Henri's email and finally heard back with a resolution from my bank on 1/28/20 - the dispute was resolved in our favor with a full refund. Although I was able to receive a full refund with the help of my bank disputing the charge, it was not a pleasant experience and if I knew what I know now about this jeweler, I would have never purchased a ring from them. I have never been so blatantly lied to multiple times regarding our dispute status, and feel they should be more upfront about the quality of their rings, including their inability to hold up if worn every day. I did a lot of research on jewelers and found Lauren B Jewelry with their outstanding reviews and believed they were a reputable jeweler with quality products. This is why I purchased from them but it turned out to be a disaster. Extremely disappointed with Lauren B Jewelry would be an understatement.

There is something shady going on at this establishment. Jennifer didn’t know the answers to several questions I had and wasn’t helpful at all.

Lauren B SCAMS

LAUREN B SCAMS - Don't be duped by the glitzy videos and prolific social media of this company. It’s all a scam. Once these people have your money they do not honor their warranty or terms of service. Their belligerent store manager will attack and berate you if you have an issue with your jewelry and try to intimidate you until you drop the case. I wish I had been warned about their shady business practices before I trusted them with my purchase. The jewelry I purchased from them was shoddy and worth less than half of what they sold it to me for. The appraisal they provided was completely fraudulent. They also failed to provide the gem certification that was promised at the time of purchase. When I made my complaint to Lauren B management about the poor quality of the merchandise and lack of documentation, I was attacked and berated by their belligerent store manager Aric Behar. I returned the merchandise and my issue was never resolved so I basically threw my hard earned money away to these thieves. I made the purchase online and was unable to see the jewelry in person before I agreed to the purchase. It looked nothing like it did in the online videos and pics. Don’t make the same mistake. Take your business to a reputable jeweler who isn’t trying to sucker you out of your money and who will respect your rights as a consumer. For the same price, I could have purchased a very nice piece of jewelry from an established jeweler who honors their terms of service. STAY AWAY!

No danger of me being scammed by the amateurs. I was a professional rare coin and jewelry dealer for years and never sold anything I wouldn't buy myself.

Nor would I charge a price that I would not pay. We sold our gold necklaces and such by weight and purity - an ironclad scale with no wiggle room for charlatans. And I never bothered with much 14k or lower "junk" gold.

I'm sorry for folks who pay retail or patronize mall and chain type jewelry stores. They prey upon the uninformed and I've had some fun hassling some of these people with intelligent questions until they get confused and tongue tied and then begin to contradict themselves which is when my fangs appear ...

This company sold me jewelry over the internet that was worth less than half of what they claimed it to be. After I received it in the mail, I was shocked at the poor quality/craftsmanship and how cheap it looked. I requested a return authorization from the company on the same day which they denied under the false pretense of customization. False pretense because the ring had not been customized or altered for me in anyway and was a stock item, and therefore eligible for return. I then had the ring appraised by an independent GIA specialist who confirmed it not only looked cheap but was essentially worthless. The appraisal provided by LaurenB with the jewelry was completely fraudulent and did not even come close to accurately reflecting the market value of the jewelry. I provided my independent appraisal to LB and again requested a refund which was met by a belligerent store manager Aric Behar who berated me and attacked my character. I received zero professional courtesy. He refused to do anything to fix the situation and basically told me I was stuck with the junk ring and it was my fault for not more carefully reading their terms of service. My husband and I are hard-working good people serving our country overseas with the US State department diplomatic corps. We just wanted to buy a nice piece of jewelry for our anniversary. No one deserves to be treated the way LB treated us, defrauding us of thousands of dollars. They do not merit anyone's business. I wish someone had warned me before I trusted them with this special purchase. Biggest mistake of my life.
